One of the things many OS X users like to do is replace the login window background-the image you see behind the login screen. In OS X 10.4 and earlier, the process was simple: just replace the file named Aqua Blue.jpg in /Library/Desktop Pictures with one of your own design. In OS X 10.5, though, that simple solution is gone.

Born in 1899 in rural Queensland (though she denied both the time and place), Broadhurst enjoyed early successes as a singer in Shanghai and a dressmaker in London before finally meeting a mysterious, violent end in Sydney's Paddington. The pager is a desktop metaphor that has been with Linux for quite some time. Effectively, this system allows you to have far more screen real estate than you would normally have. Suppose in your office, you have two desks. On one desk, you do all of your bookkeeping chores; on another desk, you do all of your face-to-face chores.

as Movie Review: Troy: Director's Cut (DVD)

The film originally was to be scored by Oscar-winner Gabriel Yared, who recorded his music for the film before it was unceremoniously dumped at the last minute, and Oscar-winning composer James Horner swooped in to save the day. His score was effective enough, but many claimed it lacked the epic scope and power of Yared's work. So it was rather odd, when watching this new cut of the film, to note that the music score had been drastically tinkered with. Horner's score had been reduced to background wallpaper - his main themes for Achilles and the Love Theme have been dialed down, and even removed altogether from some sequences. Bits and pieces of his score are now repeated all over the place, resulting in a bit of a cut-and-paste feeling.
